DQK was created 5 years ago accidentally. I say accidentally because someone else had already taken the prefix of "NC" (which are my intials as Neco) and I needed something else to show my dogs with. At the time, I had (and still do) have a character that is nicknamed "The Dead Queen" because of her association with the crow, which are referred to as "Dead Kings." It may sound silly, but hey, I never said I wasn't nerdy!
My original foray into the Petz world was with my Finnish Reindeer Herders, since I had been playing with the original breeds for years and wanted something different. I started adopting more mixies but being in Petz 5, they were all eventually adopted out and I switched over to Petz 4 once I started becoming active in the PKC and finding out more and more people use P4 instead of P5. My FRHs are still locked in P5, but there's NO WAY I'm converting muh babies... I can't lose my Loki!
Once I got into P4, that's when the adopting spree began and DQK as we know it began to form up. I'm almost exclusively a dog person, so that's why the majority of my pets are dogs! I never got into many of the cat personalities, but I do love BW Shorthairs and Persians, so my cattery consists of almost exclusively of them, haha. I can't help it, I love the lazy kitties good.
It's taken a couple years of sorting, hiatuses and disappearances to figure out what the hell I'm doing in terms of Petz, but now I'm primarily a shower and occasional breeder. I've put my OBs on hold for the moment while I work on my PKC pets, but now I feel like I'm fading out of the PKC yet again and may switch back to OBs once again! I do love several of my HBs but I don't take Petz as "srs bsns." That's just silly.
That is pretty much the story of DQK. It's boring, it's short and probably redundant, but WHO CARES. It is still necessary for site chemistry.
